CREATE A MORNING ROUTINE!! - Workbook pt. 3

Why?!

Because it sets the tone for the day. It allows you to spend time with yourself, it helps you get your focus intact on where you are headed.

You might feel that you don't have time, perhaps you are a mom with a strict schedule, or a student with a tough schedule - whatever the reason, 1 hour in your day is nothing, yet EVERYTHING. Within this hour you get to FOCUS. You get to spend time with the Lord, and you get to plan - why is this important?

Life happens, and it will always get "too busy", there will always be something to do, somewhere to be - yet we overwhelm ourselves with "life", decisions, work, hobbies, friends, family, food...the list goes on. And suddenly yet slowly, in the process we lose ourselves, we lose who we were and where we are heading, why? Because we allow too many things in our life to "take over". We struggle to say no, and we struggle to set strong boundaries - and if we don't have these boundaries, if we don't make time for ourselves, we lose track of who we are and where we are going.

By creating a morning routine, you will find purpose in where you are headed, you will feel energized, you will feel as though you have new vision to accomplish your goals. And the most important part...you cannot pour from an empty cup. We give and give, and pour into other people's lives, and we find ourselves exhausted from all the giving, but where in our day are we pouring into our own life? Are you actually looking at yourself? Are you treating yourself with kindness and compassion? Are you caring enough about yourself to take the time and ask what you want, where you are going?

Perhaps you are thinking, yeah, this is so easy to say, but my life is such a rush, and so busy, I do not have the time - well, I hate to break it to you, you got to make the time, it's the only way. Even if it's 20mins.

A morning routine will help you with:

  1. The right MINDSET - through journaling about your day and your feelings, your goals you'd like to achieve. Journal your gratitude, and read a book.

  2. MOVEMENT - Move your body, do stretches, walk or join the FITON app.

  3. MINDFULNESS - Do Bible study, pray and journal while you do Bible study.

“I want to caution you against the idea that balance has to be a routine that looks the same week in and week out.” ― Kevin Thoman

For the next activity within your workbook, create a morning routine (or evening) preferably morning...that will suit your lifestyle better, but remember, change only happens when you actually start something. Set the time, and make a list of all the things you want like to do within the time you give yourself.
