SELF BELIEFS - Workbook pt6
If you do not know who you are, you will always turn to other people's opinions, you will turn to things and situations and it might let you make the wrong choices in life. If you know who you are, you will stand firm in your beliefs and you will do what is right FOR YOU and FOR GOD.
AFFIRMATIONS:
Why affirmations? As Terri said, the most powerful words in any language are 'I AM" - Whatever you put after those 2 little words create your reality. You have to speak to yourself and declare what is true over yourself. Stop speaking negative things, stop breaking yourself down, rather build yourself up with words of affirmation.
6. Listen to Terri's Youtube video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJyhyIbsIKU , write down all the affirmations as well as your own.
When you've written your affirmation, I want you to dig a little deeper into your heart and soul, who you are, and what you believe of yourself. Answer the following questions:
Who are you?
What do you want to change about yourself?
What is getting in your way to living the life you want? How do you hold yourself back from it?
What positive words would you use to describe your personality or character?
What words would you use to illustrate your attitude about who you are?
What negative thoughts do you have about yourself that are keeping you stuck?
Read Teri Savelle's passage - "3 steps to building your self-esteem" and answer the questions that follow in your workbook.
5 Positive Things That Can Happen If You Have Self-Belief
by Mindvalley JANUARY 15, 2018
Self-belief is that positive feeling you have inside that you are capable of anything. You feel empowered, confident and fueled with virility in the face of challenges and problems.
And those who haven’t got it, those with negative self-belief, probably let many things go by undone. How many things have you let slip by because you lacked belief and doubted yourself?
Doubts such as: “Can I really do this? Other people are far better suited than me, so they probably should do it.”
“What will others think if I do or say this?”
“I really can’t… ” Or, “I don’t deserve this.”
And you’re probably right. Because you’ll always and only get the job, the paycheck, the life that you deep down believe you deserve.
But if you want more, you need to stop telling yourself that you can’t or don’t deserve it, or that someone else is better at it, or wishing you were like anyone else.
Self-belief gives you the freedom to make mistakes.
Self-belief lets you see opportunities.
Self-belief finds creative solutions.
Self-belief stimulates action and persistence.
Self-belief makes others more responsive.
