What's your biggest dream? - Workbook Pt5

Hello!! How have you been?

It's been such a crazy two months where motivation was lacking. It taught me one thing though if you take your eyes off of God and your goals, you will drift further away and get demotivated easier. Keeping your eyes and your focus on God will keep you motivated.


Habakkuk 2:2-3
Then the Lord answered me and said: "Write the vision. And make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time. But at the end, it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

The Lord said, Write the vision and make it plain. What does that mean? - Write your dreams, your goals, and vision for your life - journal about it day and night, then He said to make it plain - meaning keep it simple and clear - be specific about what you want in your life. (When you pray, don't just say Lord, I want a better income, specify and say exactly what you want - for example, I want R40 000 each month etc...)


Then He said though it tarries, wait for it - meaning, there will be days that you'd want to give up, there will be days that everything seems impossible and you won't know how it will come true - that's where your faith comes in. That's also where your focus comes in. You can't be motivated and obedient for two days and then get demotivated and give and say I've tried this, it's not working. You have to REALLY work towards it and keep your focus on God and do what you can with what you have. While you prepare, God is working behind the scenes.


Now, in your workbook, write your biggest dreams down, remember to write it in the present tense, as if it's already true (p.s. faith is what you are believing for, it's for the things you cannot see) - "I am earning R40 000 per month", "I am traveling to Greece for our family holiday", I am weighing xxxx" you get the point...Then, on the next page, write 50 goals you would like to achieve. You can set a deadline for yourself, but remember, don't try and accomplish everything at once, take one thing and focus on that one thing until you've accomplished it, then you can move to the next.


5. Create a vision board, if you haven't yet created one, use your workbook and a pinboard to create your vision. What do you want in life? Where do you see yourself in the next year, 5 years? Where do you want to travel, what do you want to accomplish?


Look for images and paste them in the space given in your workbook - I recommend having a vision board against your wall as well, as this is what you will see each morning when you wake up. We remember images better than words, we are dreamers who visualize.


Accomplishing dreams take work, every morning you'll have to stand up and speak to yourself, you'll have to be your greatest motivator, you'll have to be the one to change your mindset, believe in yourself, and see where you want your life to go. YOU have to be the person who works towards it. If you want to lose weight and be healthier, what are you going to do about it? If you want a positive life, what will you leave behind? What will you look and listen to? What will you have to STOP looking and listening to in order to keep your mind focused on the end goal?


Here is a list of affirmations to write down - say this to yourself during the day OUT LOUD (even if it feels weird) :


  • I am highly favored of the Lord

  • I am valuable, qualified forgiven, and loved

  • I am confident and couragous

  • I have extraordinary opportunities given to me

  • I attract God-inspired ideas that produce great wealth

  • I am enjoying a debt-free life

  • I have a prosperous mindset and I'm blessed to be a blessing

  • I have the generous nature of God

  • As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

  • I have the grace to embrace every season of my life

  • I am in the best shape of my life

  • I am disciplined spirit soul and body

  • I have the wisdom of God to make the best decisions

  • I live with passion and purpose

  • I know that all things are working together for my good.
